Say goodbye to painful surgeries, long recovery times, and uncomfortable scars! Discover the latest in aesthetic treatments like skin remodeling, intense pulsed light (IPL), and Maximus TriLipo.
Technology is revolutionizing the world of aesthetics, allowing us to move away from invasive treatments that result in reduced downtime, lower costs, and equally optimal results. According to the Spanish Society of Aesthetic Medicine (SEME), aesthetic treatments are no longer exclusive to a select few; they are becoming increasingly common among citizens. In fact, SEME predicts that the average annual expenditure per person is around 2,000 euros. Studies show this trend applies to most countries worldwide.
The growing demand has led many beauty centers to see this sector as a business opportunity, offering competitive prices that don't always guarantee specialized medical care. It's essential to research the credentials and professionalism of the providers and the quality of the equipment used to avoid negative impacts on your health.
Here are the most innovative techniques in the field:
FRAXEL LASER
The fractional laser is an innovative technique that is starting to be used in Europe. It represents a breakthrough not only in skin rejuvenation results but also in patient recovery. It's poised to become one of the best treatments for spots, wrinkles, and acne scars.
It is less aggressive than CO2 lasers and works in reverse. Traditional rejuvenation lasers irritate the skin's outer layers to encourage replacement by the inner layers. Fraxel
stimulates the skin from within using heat to produce collagen, resulting in less internal damage and shorter, less painful recovery periods. Five sessions are recommended, one every two weeks.
MESOGLOW
A revolutionary anti-aging treatment. This new mesotherapy has significantly improved the quality of substances and application techniques. Active ingredients that thicken the skin and retain water are injected into the face, neck, and décolleté, tightening and lifting the musculature. It also hydrates and adds radiance.
PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY
This is neither a laser nor an intense pulsed light (IPL) system. Previously used for acne and precancerous lesions, photodynamic therapy is now also applied for facial rejuvenation. The effect of this red light source (applied with a photosensitizing cream) is to generate new collagen fibers, ideal for treating skin spots, fine wrinkles, and toning the skin.
BOTOLIFT
A newly introduced technique. It uses botulinum toxin more as a preventive (relaxing muscles instead of immobilizing them) than a curative treatment. Mesobotox (injected as mesotherapy) and microbotox (highly diluted) are also used for general rejuvenation of the face, neck, and décolleté.
INJECTABLE BREAST PROSTHESES
Although still under research in the United States, aesthetic dermatologists are exploring a new breast augmentation procedure using longer-lasting, high molecular weight hyaluronic acid (macrogel). This technique allows for filling, volumizing, and tightening the breast with injections in its fatty parts. It won't replace traditional implants, especially since its effects last less than a year, but it offers a good alternative.
In Venezuela, these are the most innovative techniques, explained by Dr. Eva De Abreu.
INTENSE PULSED LIGHT (IPL)
This new tool emerged in the 1990s and is also based on the theory of “selective photothermolysis.” It helps with vascular lesions, epidermal and superficial dermal pigmented lesions, photodepilation, and the improvement of fine wrinkles and skin texture. IPL allows for global skin rejuvenation. Unlike existing lasers, which emit light at a fixed wavelength, these devices emit light across a broader spectrum. Additionally, through advanced software, the various light emission parameters are programmed, allowing the treatment to be individually adjusted according to the skin type and the characteristics of the lesions or pathology being treated. IPL can be performed on any part of the body, and several treatment sessions are recommended, spaced at intervals of three to four weeks, to gradually improve and avoid adverse effects.
SKIN REMODELING OR RESURFACING
For this type of rejuvenation, CO2 Lasers and Erbium Yag Lasers are used. These allow for a controlled ablation of the skin and the compacting and reorganization of dermal collagen, effectively erasing wrinkles, tightening tissue, and improving the appearance and quality of the skin. The most recently designed devices allow for a shorter recovery time.
FRACTIONAL REMODELING ERBIUM LASER: YAG SOOMTH
This is a new group of lasers aimed at achieving “fractional skin rejuvenation,” which has become the latest advancement in the treatment of aging skin. This new system divides the laser’s emission energy into tiny beams that penetrate the skin like thermal columns down to the dermis, creating microscopic wounds separated by healthy surrounding tissue, promoting rapid healing.
MAXIMUS TRILIPO
Trilipo is an innovative technology in non-invasive body remodeling, thanks to its triple action of release,
removal, and remodeling of fats and skin. Trilipo combines two technologies in one treatment: the revolutionary and most advanced Tripollar radiofrequency and Dynamic Muscle Stimulation (DMS). These combined energies work simultaneously on three layers of the skin (Dermis, Hypodermis, and Muscle), allowing for effective reduction of unwanted fat deposits, skin toning, smoothing, and immediate rejuvenation.
SURGEN HYBRID ENERGY
It is a safe procedure that offers advanced results in natural filling and lifting effects, virtually without discomfort or downtime. Due to its unique technology, patients experience impressive immediate and long-term results, including self-production of hyaluronic acid, collagen regeneration, and elastin growth. With this simple procedure, the patient can return to normal activities looking younger and feeling better than ever.
